Education in Colombia Education is an umbrella term that brings about an inherent and permanent change in a person's thinking and capacity to do things, it is the process of facilitating learning, acquisition of knowledge, skills, values, beliefs and habits. Colombia has an eleven-year system of elementary and secondary education, consisting of five years of elementary education, four years of lower secondary education and two years of upper secondary education. Unfortunately, as for me, education in Colombia is really bad and it has been shown in the results of different national and international tests.
